That’s right! In 1907, Claude Ryan and Jim Casey borrowed $100 and a bicycle to deliver packages around their Seattle home. As the company expanded, the teens ran the business in the borrowed basement of a nearby hotel. Soon, the business outgrew their few delivery trucks, and the two founders merged with retail store delivery. TWO TEENAGERS BEGAN THE UNITED PARCEL SERVICE over a hundred years ago, now the world’s largest package delivery company. Claude and Jim didn’t start big. They ran a small delivery service from their home. With hard work and a little creativity, it grew into a successful business. Your idea can, too!
Learn how to make that happen in my book, Starting a Micro Business, today!
