Love to bake? Turn that talent into a micro business! South Dakota teens Kate and Jacque Warkenthien discovered their passion for baking could become a fun way to make money. What started as making a batch of cupcakes for a school party turned into requests for the sisters to make more. Together, they began Cupcake Avenue, run from their own home. The business has grown, baking for birthday parties and even their own high school graduation! Now, the girls even teach cupcake classes at a local culinary school. Even the smallest idea can turn into a big micro business.

Find out how to turn your idea into a micro business with my book, Starting a Micro Business.
