Creating a Business Plan

You are here: Home / Products / Creating a Business Plan

If you’re a teenager  (or even an adult) thinking of starting a micro business to earn some money, you should start with a plan.

A business plan will help you anticipate anything that might go wrong. By thinking through issues like who will buy your product and how to reach them, you will save time and money as well as avoid frustration.

69% of business owners that created a business plan said it was a major contributor to their success.

This ebook, Creating a Business Plan,  will help you put your thoughts on paper (or your computer). It covers the important issues in starting a micro business such as:

Business Concept

  • Describe your product or service
  • Consider the opportunities in your area or field
  • Think through how you will measure success

Marketing Plan

  • Describe your potential customers
  • Research your competition
  • Consider how you will stand out

Financial Plan

  • Calculate the cost of your product or service
  • Determine what price your will charge customers
  • Do a break even analysis

This is a business plan for a micro business, so you won’t get bogged down in tons of details or fancy financial projections.

“I wish I had seen the systematic business plan template that you have in the book when I started businesses in the past.”

-Noah Woodruff, high school graduate and micro business owner

I looked all over the internet for a business plan designed for the teenage micro business and I could not find one! I found sites that simply repackaged their full blown adult plans for teenagers or the plans are too vague with helpful suggestions like “guess how much money you will need to start.”

No so with my business plan! I will walk you through every aspect of planning your business. You will:

  • do research,
  • ask for help,
  • find a mentor,
  • make some phone calls
  • and really put some thought into this plan.

And then you’ll show it to at least three people to get their feedback!
