Now I have some new books to check out this summer!
Ms Glazer is correct when she writes, “There are tons of books that promise to help people become entrepreneurs—but most of them are targeted at adults.”
That’s why I wrote the Micro Business for Teens book series. They are written for teenagers, not children and not adults. Too bad Ms Glazer didn’t know about my books when she wrote the article. 🙁

I’m a CPA and author of the Micro Business for Teens book series. I wrote the 4 book series because parents of teenagers came to me needing help with their teenager’s business taxes. I learned that teenagers can start and run their own small businesses, but need help with record keeping, taxes, etc.
The books were quite a challenge to write because I wanted to simplify complex topics such as taxes and financial statements into clear, easy-to-understand English for a teenager. So far, the kids seems to like the books and even parents find the information helpful. They are very hands-on and practical.
The Micro Business for Teens book series is three books:
Starting a Micro Business
Running a Micro Business
Money and Taxes in a Micro Business
and a Micro Business for Teens Workbook for individual or group/classroom use.Additionally, a PBS affiliate in Ohio (Western Reserve Public Media) is producing an hour-long television show based on the first book, Starting a Micro Business, and will hopefully be aired on PBS stations nationwide in late 2012 or early 2013.
I’m very excited to share my knowledge with teenagers and hope they are inspired and equipped to run successful micro businesses.
