Micro Business for Teenagers

This workshop covers the basics of record keeping, figuring out your profit and dealing with taxes in a small business. It is geared toward teenage entrepreneurs and small home-based business owners. Carol Topp, CPA puts difficult accounting and tax issues into easy-to-understand English. She will explain the basics of a business tax return, business deductions and the “hidden” tax on the Form 1040. Teenagers earning money and their parents are encouraged to attend together!

Teens and Taxes

Are you confused about whether or not your teenager owes taxes? Do they need to file a tax return? Can they be included on your tax return? Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and tax preparer, Carol Topp will lead a workshop to explain tax laws that apply to teenagers. Whether your student is employed, self-employed or just earning cash by babysitting, Carol can answer your questions. There will be helpful handouts, real life case studies and easy-to-understand explanations. Listen with your teenager! They may learn something!

Wanna Be a WAHM (Work at Home Mom)?

More and more  mothers are becoming WAHMs (Work at Home Mothers). In this workshop, homeschooling mother and WAHM herself, Carol Topp, CPA, will discuss how to start a home-based business, avoiding WAHM scams, and balancing family and working.  As an accountant, Carol helps small, home-based businesses get off the ground. She’ll offer her professional knowledge and her personal experience on being a WAHM in this helpful workshop.
