In 1907, Claude Ryan and Jim Casey borrowed $100 and a bicycle to deliver packages around their Seattle home. As the company expanded, the teens ran their business in the borrowed basement of a nearby hotel. Soon, it outgrew their few delivery trucks, and the teen founders merged with retail store delivery. Two teenagers started the United Postal Service over a hundred years ago, and it is now the world’s largest package delivery company! Claude and Jim didn’t start big.
